The joint Egyptian-Greek military exercise “Medusa-15” has begun in Greece and will continue for several days across the Mediterranean theater of operations and several Greek air bases.

The drill includes participation from naval, air, air defense, reconnaissance, and special forces units, as well as parachute and commando elements from Egypt, Greece, Cyprus, France, and Italy.

The exercise opened with a joint naval transit drill conducted by the Egyptian and Greek navies during the voyage to the host nation.

This was followed by theoretical and practical pre-training activities aimed at unifying combat concepts and exchanging expertise among the participating countries.

Over the coming days, the exercise is expected to include a range of activities focused on managing naval and aerial combat operations against various threats, in addition to live-fire training and drills to counter unconventional threats.

These activities reflect the high level of professionalism and advanced training reached by the participating forces.

“Medusa-15” comes as part of the broader program of joint exercises carried out by the armed forces in cooperation with sister and friendly nations across multiple specialties, helping strengthen military cooperation and promote the exchange of expertise in line with the latest tactics and modern combat methods.
